Come ha risposto l’associazione Tyrrhenoi all’emergenza COVID19?
Tutte le attività si svolgono da remoto, tramite i canali già utilizzati dai vari ragazzi per l’istruzione a distanza, quindi abbiamo perseguito tale sentiero, che è risultato vantaggioso per velocizzare la ripartenza delle nostre attività da remoto. L’organizzazione si è sviluppata pian piano, i volontari hanno contattato i vari ragazzi e strutturato gli incontri per lo svolgimento del dopo scuola.
Quali sono state le difficoltà per la partenza delle attività da remoto?
Gli unici problemi che abbiamo riscontrato sono i limiti tecnologici delle famiglie; non tutti i genitori, infatti, sono in grado di utilizzare tali canali. I nostri volontari, invece, erano già avvezzi alla tecnologia da utilizzare.
Come e quanto sono coinvolti i volontari?
Prima del Covid19, i volontari erano riusciti a stabilire un rapporto solido con i nostri utenti, che vivevano delle realtà complicate anche prima dell’emergenza sanitaria. Inizialmente, è stato spiacevole non poter continuare le attività con i bambini, proprio per il rapporto che si è instaurato. Quando siamo ripartiti in remoto i volontari si sono mostrati fin da subito disponibili, mettendo a disposizione i propri dispositivi per poter svolgere le attività. Abbiamo continuato con il doposcuola e creato attività ludiche da scaricare dal pc. Inoltre, i bambini e le loro famiglie, possono contare sull’assistenza di una psicologa, che fa parte dell’organico dei volontari.
Quali difficolta avete rilevato?
Bisogna considerare che si è abbassato di molto il rapporto numerico tra volontari e bambini: se prima un solo volontario poteva occuparsi di più bambini contemporaneamente, ora i volontari possono assistere un bambino per volta e per poco tempo. Quindi anche gli obbiettivi devono essere rimodulati in base a questi cambiamenti. La preoccupazione che mi preme mettere in luce è il carico di lavoro che deve essere svolto avanti ad uno schermo da parte dei bambini.
